Hi,
and welcome to the first instalment of Little Bites, my weekly bite on productivity, apps, tech, β¦
This week an app that has helped me reduce my screen time, a quick tip for multi-browser bookmarks and a quiz.
Happy reading,

β²οΈ One Sec
More often than I wanted to, I opened my iPhone to check something, saw another app and fell into the rabbit hole of scrolling or checking social media, losing all sense of time. Often I fell into this trap before bedtime, going to bed too late.
That was until I stumbled on One Sec late last year.
This is a set-and-forget app, but I love how it helps me.
One Sec described itself as an app to regain control over your time.
When I started using it, it was only available for iOS, while today you can also use it on Android, Mac and even as a browser extension.
With One Sec, you list the websites or apps that you want to get control over.
Each time you open such a website or app, youβll need to breathe, wait, follow a dot,β¦ for x amount of time adding a little bit of friction to the process. This makes you think about whether you really want to continue or not.
You can put this for example to 60s to test yourself, but if you feel this is not enough, you can go for a focused session. When a focused session is active, access to apps and websites is completely blocked. And the nice thing about One Sec is that you can plan focused sessions automatically upfront to remove app and website temptations when you need it.
Other nice features of One Sec include blocking apps after waking up, donβt get lost reminders (to keep app usage short), adult content detox (blocking adult websites completely),β¦
Having One Sec installed has helped me reduce time on social media, keeping me focused during the day and go to bed on time.
One Sec is free for 1 app or website, with an optional subscription for unlimited and the ability to fully customize your experience.
π₯οΈ Quick browser tip
I have quite a few browsers that I work with and while I use Raindrop.io as my bookmark manager I like to have a folder and bookmarks stored within each browser.
I didnβt know it was possible, but you can copy/paste bookmarks from one browser to another.
As a matter of experiment, I copied a folder from one and was able to paste it into another.
β Name that movie
Artifact has become one of my favourite apps to stay updated on app and tech and I saw this post of AI images generated from a movie as a quiz.
Do you know which one?
